I share your concern for the Evangelical church, which has historically too often focused almost solely on theology, and personal devotions and not enough on following all of Jesus's teachings, particularly care for the poor and oppressed and for peace making. In the book of John, Jesus said more than once, "If you love me, you will follow my commandments." We don't focus enough on the particular commandments of Jesus., especially those found in Matthew and Luke.

What I have posted in various places:

Never have two peoples had such valid, millennia old, claim to the same little strip of land.

Never have two peoples given each other such valid reason to hate.

Each side's treatment of the other has been utterly understandable.

Each side's treatment of the other has been utterly barbaric.

Both sides are right.

Both sides are dead wrong.

Weep for the children who bear the brunt of our madness.

Where are the peacemakers who will risk all to forgive the unforgivable?

For it is the only way out.

In all of this you forget two things. One, you can't negotiate peace with those who want you dead. Secondly, the Bible is very clear on who the Land belongs to. ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭25:23‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

[23] ‘The land, moreover, shall not be sold permanently, for the land is Mine; for you are but aliens and sojourners with Me.

The Land belongs to God and He has decided to give it to the Jewish people. No 2 states. He even states that when His people are not in the Land that it will become barren and not produce fruit. Mankind is trying to be nice and do the " loving things" but it violates God's commands and intentions. We actually are fighting against God and losing. Israel must be one state, a Jewish state with complete recognition from all her Muslim neighbors.

Then who is your neighbour?

The Muslim states need to learn to be good neighbors rather than neighbors that are consumed with trying to destroy Israel and kill every Jew. The famous 3 NO's of the Khartoum Resolution of Sept. 1,1967 "No peace with Israel, no recognition of Israel, no negotiations with Israel" has been the mantra of both the current Palestinian Authority and Hamas as well as most of the Arab Muslim world.
