I am no atheist, but I found the book shocking in that I found his arguments completely unconvincing. I'm writing a Substack post tentatively entitled "Hey Ross Douthat, Is that really the best you got?"
I'm getting the sinking feeling that a shocking number of my fellow ⚪ non-evangelical Protestants embrace denial and ignorance conditioned by racial loyalty as a formula to keep supporting this president. That's really the only way I can explain their inability to recognize who he is - or is it their loyalty to who he is? I pray for the proverbial scales to fall from their eyes! 🙏🙏
