"Is Hamas dropping the bombs from Israeli jets on children trying to get food?" I asked.
"Well it wouldn't have happened if Hamas hadn't attacked Israel in October," he responded, "They're getting what they deserved!"
"CHILDREN DESERVE BEING BOMBED!!! What kind of person can justify children being killed by blaming them for something they didn't do?"
There is no winning argument against people who kill in the name of God and vengeance.
And I suspect most progressive churches fear backlash. It's only a matter of time before Trump's regime comes for the religious opposition. He just needs to purge political opponents and get the rest of public media to bow the knee.

Yes. Perhaps Jesus should have arrived in the manger with a note pinned to his onesie that said "Evidently I was unclear earlier re: the "chosen" thing. THIS IS WHAT I MEANT."
Recognize Palestine as a state? There are so many problems with that that it's hard to know where to begin.
What Palestine? Who's in charge? Hamas? "Palestine" has multiple times rejected the notion of a two-state solution. Get real - they (Hamas) just want Israel off the map.
Hamas are lying, lying, lying. You can't trust anything they say. The Palestinians themselves complain that Hamas "soldiers" are taking the food for themselves and sell it out of their bunkers (look it up).
Of course people shouldn't starve. Of course Israel should allow food supplies. And of course Hamas shouldn't steal the supplies. And of course the NGOs shouldn't allow anything but food in their trucks. And of course Hamas should release the hostages and end the current conflict (until they start another).
Unfortunately it is churches that helped elect Trump and Trump who has in turn left us with no moral compass whatsoever...
