I have read your book and agree with you. We must work and pray for the defeat of Trump.

I have found that there must be 2 Gods. Theirs and mine. You pointed out the differences. My belief since high school is that there is 1 God so us, the Jews and the Muslims, all only having 1 God, must worship the same one. Now the right has come up with a second one. Must be a fake Go d going with their fake news

If that guy sitting next to Trump in court in that drawing is indeed Jesus, I must say that he looks pretty angry having to sit next to Trump. It's appropriate that Trump held the Bible upside-down outside St John's church. Every thing he has said is the exact opposite of what's in that book.

Jim, I read your book and love it. You tell it like it is. The Maga Trumpers really don't have the Bible I have. They believe the opposite of the teachings of Jesus. Thank you for all you do to tell the truth.

Pilate asked 'what is truth'? Truth was standing right in front of him, then he killed him.

I agree with everything you said - except the detail about deriding Trump for saying "2 Corinthians". I have heard that said informally many, many times in different churches. "Let's look up 2 Corinthians 5" or something. The correct term would of course be 2nd Corinthians (still informal - I guess Paul's 2nd letter to the Corinthians would be the formal way).

I mean - there's plenty to laugh at when it comes to Trump, so there's no reason to invent stuff.

1 and 2 Corinthians is the normal way these letters are referred to in the UK. Maybe that was Trump's nod to British scholarships, CK Barrett, Tom Wright, Anthony Thiselton etc...or maybe not!

Excellent article, most 'evangelicals' this side of the pond can't really get our heads round the love affair that many American Christians have for Trump

Ha, right ...! (your paragraph 1)

And - indeed right! (your paragraph 2)

I see that the Jesus sitting next to Trump appears to be a white man-more evangelical youth minister than middle eastern Jew.
