Will you also encourage people to join Faith leaders on the Moral Monday June 2 being organized by Bishop William Barber and the Poor People’s Campaign? They too are focused on the budget

I am behind your efforts on June 10 and regret that I am unable to attend the rally.

Thank you for your voice in this and inviting others to join you. Regardless of one’s faith or secular beliefs, people of good will must “show up” - if not to rallies, in any way they can. I don’t want “America back” as it was: racism has always been with us. I want the better country we can be. Or so I hope.

Your strong voice and moral calling speak strongly to me. I pray that this call to people of faith will cause a renewal and help us return to our roots. Peace.

So important for young and old, powerful and weak to say something - and keep saying it. https://youtu.be/NzMyxSu2L_s

Hi Jim! John and I are studying Paul’s letters to the Thessalonians, his earliest NT writings. When he refers to the Man of Lawlessness, it’s not easy to decipher the power holding the evil usurper back since we don’t have access to Paul’s earlier conversations with the Thessalonians. But I have been giving it a lot of thought and it makes sense to me that throughout much of history, the church has been a moral compass restraining evil. Yet now as so many exchange fidelity to Jesus for loyalty to Trump and his bankrupt values, the restraints are failing. The consequence according to 2 Thessalonians 2:11 is that God sends a powerful delusion so they believe the lie and delight in wickedness. Surely many who self-identify as Christians are deluded. But as you say, there’s still time for people of courage to stand up for the truth.

Jake Tapper's book "Original Sin" implying that Biden is the "original sinner" is just what our racist President ordered to distract from his and America's Original sin of racism...See this excerpt from Heather Cox Richardson's article today which puts Trump's racism on full display...
