I think that the language is deliberately non specific. South American immigrants too are not mentioned. The the injunction to recognise all creatures as being in God's image would presumably include those you mention.

The article references skin color, and economic/political status. I interpret all of God’s people to include queer folk, but not everyone does, which is why I hoped to see the queer community specifically named in the article.

I deeply respect the effort and the product it produced. I remain concerned that it is proposed and promoted to combat one side of the political spectrum (I know, you will say it does not, I understand). As I have shared elsewhere, my King is not on the ballot in November nor is he represented on the ballot. No political person or party encompasses Jesus nor takes His place as Sovereign.

I do not believe in a theology of Democracy as though it is a subset of Theology.

All processes participated in by apprentices to Jesus should be done at His direction and discretion.

I applaud the effort and personally respect many who have signed it.
