Meet 'The Exvangelicals'
A conversation with NPR's Sarah McCammon, author of the new book "The Exvangelicals"
This week, I want to share a podcast we just released of a conversation we held recently week at Georgetown University with Sarah McCammon, NPR’s lead political correspondent and author of the new book, The Exvangelicals.
In our conversation, Sarah talked about her upbringing as an evangelical in Kansas City, why she left her childhood faith and the experience of being verbally attacked by Trump voters, the very same people she grew up with. It was a great conversation, and I hope you enjoy it. We’re sharing the conversation in a special episode of my podcast “The Soul of the Nation.” You can listen to below or your podcast platform of choice.
I continue to experience events around the country, including in key battleground states, where the “faith factor” in this election season is creating a new conversation – and a very hopeful one. Let’s keep it going and growing. And we all can do that.
My book is available on Amazon and other booksellers.
🙏The BS Supreme Court does the right thing!
“[W]here, say some, is the King of America?” Thomas Paine wrote in Common Sense, the 1776 pamphlet that convinced British colonists in North America to cut ties with their king and start a new nation. “[I]n America the law is king. For as in absolute governments the King is law, so in free countries the law ought to be king; and there ought to be no other.”
Thanks for your book, Jim
