A New York Times interview with Jim Wallis
The conversation centers around one of Jim's central missions: expanding contemporary Christians' moral imaginations.
Dear God’s Politics readers,
Jim is still working on his book, but we here at the Center on Faith and Justice wanted to share this conversation he had with The New York Times and Kyle Meyaard-Schaap, a rising young leader who is pushing evangelicals to address climate change. The conversation, which took place earlier this year, is part of the NYT’s Taking the Lead series, in which they asked leaders in various fields to share insights on what they’ve learned and what lies ahead.
(Here’s the NYT’s illustration of Jim and Kyle.)
The writer, Ruth Graham, deftly describes Jim’s religious background and work, and Jim and Kyle candidly discuss their mission to expand evangelicals’ moral imaginations, including in their own families. It’s a great piece, and we hope you’ll check it out:
